Synopsis: "Unveiling the Masquerade: Ceramics Mask Exhibition"

In short, Professor Robinson was inspired to create these works of art because of art history and historical research. Reflecting upon Cubism, Cubist artists, and African tribal masks from the Ivory Coast, Belgian Congo, and Nigeria, he became amazed by the idea of Cubist artists studying art from African tribes and exploring their styles. This research was transformed into a scholarly event that led the artist/educator to a sketchbook in pursuit of a heartfelt impulse to investigate the images of both groups. He paid homage to African tribes that served as major influences to the art style we know as "Cubism." This journey increased Professor Robinson’s enthusiasm and interest for aesthetics far beyond the conventional term called "beauty." As a result, his research was fine-tuned by synthesizing images with the elements and principles of design. Below are some of the places that the artworks were exhibited.
